Opening an attachment in Outlook Express

Before you start:
Outlook Express deliberately stops access to any attachments that could contain viruses. If you turn off this protection you are putting yourself at risk from viruses.

Another option is to ask for attachments to be saved as a zip file. You will then be able to open it without any problems.

Step 1.
Open 'Outlook Express'

Step 2. Click on 'Tools' and scroll down to 'Options'

Step 3. Click on the 'Security' tab, located in the top panel

Step 4. Untick the second square tick box that states 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus' and click 'OK'
